Since this shoot was featured over on Brides of Oklahoma‘s blog, I can finally share the whole thing! Hooray! It was so fun to be creative and do what I love with some amazing boss ladies. Inspired by classic lavish French tastes, this shoot was a timeless reminder of all things elegant. Classic pale pastels, a lace gown, and gold details all contribute to a beautifully polished bridal look. Michelle with Simply Stated designed a beautiful wedding suite, menu and table settings included. Each piece fit perfectly with the other details (one of which happened to be my grandma’s silver serving tray) and I couldn’t have been happier with it! Kerri Unruh Hair and Beauty nailed the makeup and hair for a timeless updo and soft bridal makeup to go with the pale pastels in the bouquet and the antiqued lace gown, provided by Chantilly Couture Bridal here in OKC. Chantilly provided lovely Bella Bella heels, Haute Bride jewelry, Mamie and James lace garters, and the beautiful Ivy and Aster gown which all looked amazing on our model, Lossie. Each piece gave a little extra oomph, because let’s be honest, details are like icing on a cake. Totally necessary. Now on to the actual cakes. The Round House Bakery knocked it out of the park when I asked her for marbled and gold leaf cakes. The Macaron tower and cake drips were the perfect finishing touches for the sweets buffet, going along with our elegant French theme. The gold trim chair and settee from Ruby’s Vintage Rentals helped provide a pop of color for each bridal shot, enhancing the elegant marble of the Oklahoma State Capitol, which was our backdrop for the shoot. Florals were styled and provided by The Wild Mother, and let’s be honest, this shoot would have been nothing without the florals. They set the tone for each shot, giving a soft touch to every image, accentuating each detail. The last, and definitely not least, element of the shoot was the gold rings provided by Kelley Jewelers of Weatherford, OK. Their jewelry always blows me away and I’m so happy to have them take part in my styled shoot ideas. Sparkling diamonds, shining gold, and unique band details were the perfect addition to the other jewelry provided by Chantilly.
This shoot was what dreams are made from. Each detail was perfect and I was so proud of the final product. We all put our hearts into the details of the shoot, and it definitely shows. I hope you enjoy these images as much as we do, now go give these ladies some love!
