Hi there, friends! It’s time to look back at the day my lovely client friends Jake + Nicole get married at the Cobblestone Creek Golf Club in Norman, OK!

These two met in college, and hit it off from the start! Seeing them together on their wedding day was so natural; They were like peas and carrots. I would never believe that once upon a time, Jake was nervous to talk to Nicole 😉

The day started off a little dreary, with the promise of rain, but ended without a drop!

This crew was so fun to hang with all day! They smiled and cracked jokes from beginning to end. I don’t think there was ever a moment of seriousness or overwhelming nerves, just excitement for what was to come and joy for Jake and Nicole.

 

Each detail was thought out carefully and created with love. From invitations to signs to florals, it was all beautiful and true to both Jake and Nicole’s style.

The cakes from Fancy Cakes in Norman did a phenomenal job on the cakes, and let me say…they were DELICIOUS!

The Dress

One of my favorite moments of the day is when the bride is getting ready and putting her dress on. It’s a lovely moment where everyone comes together and preps the bride for her walk down the aisle.

 

The First Look

The FIRST first look, though…I love first looks! With Nicole, there were three! The first with her Bride Crew, the second with her dad, and the third with Jake.

In my opinion, it’s so special when brides decide they want to have a first look with dad before going down the aisle. It means a lot for a dad to see his baby girl dressed up before he walks her down the aisle and gives her away.

This first look with dad was one of the most emotional ones I’ve been blessed to witness. I teared up talking to Nicole’s dad as we waited for her to make her way down. The love this family is so, so strong. I want to tear up just thinking about it, so I’ll just show you instead.

If you’re wondering about the box…Nicole had a special gift made for her dad, too, which started the tears anew.

Next was the first look with Jake, which began with “WAIT…WHAT’S THE OU SCORE?!” 😂

Portraits

Okay, so if you’re wondering how fun these people were, I’m just going to leave these here for you.

They literally had me rolling the whole day, from getting ready, to the ceremony, and then reception. Never have I seen a happier bunch!

Ceremony Time

Obviously the ceremony is the single most important moment of the entire wedding, so without further adieu, I give you Mr. & Mrs. Wedel!

And the rest was history…

The rest of the wedding was a PAR-TY. I mean…I’ll just let you see for yourself. 😉

 

Every second of this wedding was filled with love, humor, and pure joy for Jake and Nicole. I’m so incredibly grateful that they let me join their family for a day. I truly felt like one of their own!
